RISE with JOY: A Campaign to Lift St. Mary's Episcopal Church into Greater Community
We are at a momentous time in St. Mary’s history--we have the opportunity to RISE with JOY and take steps into the vision that has been prayerfully and carefully discerned by our community:
- Priority One: Creating a level pathway between the sanctuary and the Moseley Hall corridor to improve accessibility for those with mobility limitations.
- Priority Two: Constructing a new Outdoor Learning and Play Center on The Parish Commons (formerly the West Lawn) and removing the existing playground.
This vision seeks to draw all people in to receive Jesus’ life-giving words, sacraments, and community, and to remove obstacles along the way.
As you read this booklet, we hope that you will share in the same sense of calling that so many have come to hold, and you will join in making it a reality! You’re invited to help St. Mary’s REACH others by reaching into your resources and abilities. Going beyond annual stewardship, your capital campaign gift will deepen the imprint of St. Mary’s ministry.
As we kick off this momentous season at St. Mary's, we invite everyone to a cookout after church on Sunday, March 17th as we kick off the start of our “RISE with JOY” capital campaign. Leaders of our vestry and Long Range Planning projects will be present to share information about the campaign and answer your questions, as well as enjoy good food and fellowship! The Nursery will remain open an extra 30 minutes (until 12:30pm) on this day.
