A Chili & Cornbread Cook-Off for Glory Ridge
Come support the outreach efforts of the EYC as they raise funds for their mission trip to Glory Ridge in Madison County, NC. All proceeds will go towards the construction and repair projects that the youth will take on during their time in the mountains this summer (July 28-August 3)... none of the money goes towards the cost of individual participation. With every dollar raised, the youth will be able to fund projects like these that they have done in past years:
- roof purchase/installation
- bathroom renovation
- driveway gravel purchase and spreading
- outdoor porch and stair building
At the Chili & Cornbread Cook-Off, eat all you like for a recommended donation of $10 per person. An expert panel will decide awards for Best in Show (chili & cornbread) and Most Original (chili only). The 2019 Chili & Cornbread Cook-Off expert panel will be announced soon!
The Peoples' Choice winner will be determined by all in attendance. Anyone is welcome to enter a chili or cornbread into the competition.
Tums will be on hand as well.
